So Pondered this brilliant idea intended for my music room. And while I’m not quite ready to divulge the details with my brilliant idea, I will reveal to you that it requires several changes to my coming doors. Specifically, it requires which the doors be installed seeing that actually sliding barn doors in lieu of rolling doors as I'd them before.

I had previously mounted them as rolling entrances using cheap items from your plumbing section of Home Depot.



The benefit of their design is that it’s seriously cheap. The drawback is the fact it’s virtually impossible to put in the wheels on underneath of the door beautifully straight, so as the doors are rolled back and forth, they can become misaligned. It’s not an issue. I just simply gave them a little bit push to get these people aligned again. But once We have my new grand idea into position, it will be much more difficult to push the doors back to alignment, and my doors could really be very easily dinged and scraped every time they become misaligned.

And so anyway, for this design idea I are considering, I had to choose a cheap way to installation my doors as exact sliding barn doors. Back next time i first made and fitted these doors, I checked almost any source I could uncover for barn door appliance, and the hardware needed in view of my double doors having a 10-foot span was wherever from about $800 to be able to $1200. I wasn’t going to spend that kind connected with money on door components, so that’s when I invented my $60 rolling home option.

And then I came across something that was about 50 % that price. I purchased everything I needed at Lowe’s. Home Depot carries these items also, but they don’t have them in either on the stores here in Waco. Although our Lowe’s carries these in stock here.

Y’all may are sure about about this cheap barn doorway hardware, but I acquired no idea this option existed! It’s a rectangle tube rail, and the wheels in which allow the door to slide back and forth actually roll inside the particular square tube. And the most effective part was the amount. Everything I needed to get my double doors that has a 10-foot span cost appropriate at $160. That’s insanely cheap compared to all the other barn door hardware I had looked at for such a width!
