This year, China International Import Expo Exhibition will take place from November 5 to November 10 in Shanghai and we will have once again a booth representing EU Pork. Our main idea is to promote the characteristics of the pork from Spain and Portugal as a high-quality product in one of the most important stages to develop this activity in China. It has been motivating to work towards this promotion, considering that imports have experienced such significant growth
Additionally, as part of this year’s activities at the booth, we will host a ham carving presentation where the audience will have a taste of Spain, while they learn about this product and why it has such a special taste and a cooking demonstration where our main chef will cook different cuts and show the audience how to prepare for different dishes using varied techniques. It will be a booth that will be surrounded by its characteristic tasty smell that we hope will attract the audience to try and be delighted by the offerings.

The 5th edition of China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held from 5th to 10th November 2022 at the National Exhibition & Convention Center, Shanghai, China hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government.

CIIE 2021 has been attended by over 100 countries and international trade organizations. The Expo showcased 7 major industries in an area of 360,000 sq.m. and more than 400,000 professional visitors had registered to attend. The event also includes Economic Forums and Bilateral Business Meetings.

The EDB in collaboration with Sri Lanka Embassy in Beijing and Sri Lanka Consulate General in Shanghai, China is making arrangements to organize Sri Lanka’s participation at the 5th CIIE-2022.
